Upper Campus Modernization Update
A Look Ahead at Pinewood's Future

We have three important developments in the Upper Campus Modernization Project to share - together, they represent meaningful progress, and three significant wins for Pinewood, our students, and our community:
First, following a comprehensive selection process, Pinewood has officially selected Truebeck Construction as our construction partner.
We were particularly impressed by Truebeck’s experience managing sophisticated projects in complex educational environments while keeping learning communities operational. Its portfolio includes work with Castilleja, Crystal Springs, Charles Armstrong School, Sonoma State, Stanford Health Care, Google, and Second Harvest of Silicon Valley. Just as importantly, Truebeck already knows Pinewood as they were our general contractor for our previous renovation and expansion of our Middle Campus.
Second, Upper Campus students will remain on campus during construction.
This has been an important priority throughout our planning and a decision that was made thoughtfully and carefully focusing on what will best serve our students. Upper Campus students will step into Pinewood Grove for their 2028–29 school year, an onsite modular classroom village, safely insulated from the campus construction zone.
Third, the overall project timeline currently remains unchanged.
We continue to advance according to the schedule shared in my previous updates and remain on track to complete the new Upper Campus within the anticipated timeframe. Our plan continues to limit the most significant disruption to one academic year while preserving the excellence of the student experience throughout construction.throughout the construction period. We will share additional details with affected families as plans are finalized.
We look forward to this next chapter of Pinewood's future, and invite all of our alumni to remember the history of Upper Campus!
